Old Cassette

Brings up standard Open dialogue for loading previously saved cassettes of the same type (digital or analogue) as already loaded cassette. You can change cassette type in Settings/Options window.

Blank Cassette

Brings up standard Save dialogue for starting with new cassette of the same type (digital or analogue) as already loaded cassette. You can change cassette type in Settings/Options window.

New Cassette Sound Quaility

Allows you to change sound quality for new (blank) casette. You can choose between four different modes: default, cd, radio, telephone.

Delete Message

Use this command to delete current message. Confirmation window appears before deleting.

Send by E-Mail

Command with two suboptions affecting either single message or all messages within currently loaded digital cassette. Opens window for sending message(s) by E-Mail as an attachment. You will be prompted to save message(s) in a single file in wav sound format first, then just fill out standard email fields:


* Receiver(s) E-Mail Address: Use ";" (semicolon) as a separator for more than one address.
* E-Mail Subject / E-Mail Text: Self-explanatory fields.
* My E-Mail Address:
* Mail Host Address (SMTP): Address of SMTP server for your email account. You can find it among account properties in your default email client.

Click on Send to start email sending, Abort to abandon message and Close to leave this window.

Export to WAV

Command with two suboptions affecting either single message or all messages within currently loaded digital cassette. Allows you to save message(s) in a single file in WAV sound format.

About

Opens window with basic information about the program, manufacturer and licence.

Opens help index file.

Options

Opens window for changing different dictaphone Settings/Options.

Spy

Pressing Record button in this mode will automatically minimize dictaphone to systray and start recording by the rules of V.O.R. mode (see below for details).

Normal

In this mode, the process of recording is completely under your control. Start it by pressing Record button, end it on Stop, or temporarily suspend it on Pause.

V.O.R.

V.O.R. stands for Voice Operated Recording and means that dictaphone will record only clear sound coming through the microphone and skip all periods of silence. For this mode to work properly you will have to experiment with settings for Recording Volume and Microphone Sensibility sliders. Find these within Settings/Options window.
